Just a few clicks from the border of cote d'ivoire, the people of Ghana are living their everyday lives. The country is poor and lots of people stand without a job and a future. The country has just discovered oil and this has led to sudden interest in the country from various stakeholders from other continents like europe. The neighboring country Nigeria has over a few years now been producing oil but the Niger delta region is suffering spills due to poor regulation, insufficient maintenance and sabotage on the pipelines. It is impossible to know how much oil is spilled in the Niger delta each year because the companies and the government keep that secret. However, two major independent investigations over the past four years suggest that as much is spilled at sea, in the swamps and on land every year as has been lost in the Gulf of Mexico so far. In ghana they are awaiting the development of the oil wells outside the coast. These set of images are a subjective travel essay inside a potensially rich country.It is a subjective document on my travels in Ghana, and are just meant to put a face on the people there and their every day lives. How much of the oil money that will find its way back to the development of ghana is yet to be seen, and how the oil finds will affect the thousands of fishermen along the coast is also a question that the fishermen raises in the shadow of the knowledge from the Nigeria spills.

In the shadows of the ongoing conflict in Srinagar are there several communities of muslims living in and around lake dal. The lake is getting more and more polluted and the communities are being moved by the government to new locations in order to cut down on the pollution. This documentary show some of these people and communities that face an uncertain future in the valley of Srinagar.

This is the first series of several documentaries on norwegian culture.The Slottsfjell festival is one of the major festivals in the summermonths in Norway. I am trying to capture the feelings and situations off stage- focusing on relationships and peoples feelings.
